Refund & Cancellation Policy — DRAFT, requires legal review before publishing

⚠️ This is a starting template, not vetted legal advice. The mechanics described (what happens to your site on a refund) are grounded in what Folix's code actually does today — a refund suspends the site rather than deleting it. The refund *window and conditions* below are a reasonable placeholder, not a legal requirement — have a lawyer confirm the right window for your jurisdiction. In particular: EU/UK customers have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal on most online purchases that generally cannot be waived by a shorter policy, and depending on where you sell, there may be other mandatory minimums — this needs real legal review before publishing, not just adopting the number below. Every `[bracketed]` placeholder needs a real value.

The short version

Folix is sold as a one-time payment. If it's not working for you, tell us within [14 / 30] days of purchase and we'll refund you in full — no reason required.

How to request a refund

Email [SUPPORT EMAIL] with your account email and the reason for the request (optional, but it helps us improve). We aim to process approved refunds within [X] business days, back to your original payment method via Stripe or PayPal.

What happens to your site

If your purchase is refunded (whether requested by you, or reversed via a chargeback/payment dispute), your site is deactivated — it stops being publicly reachable. We don't delete your content immediately; it's retained for [X days] in case the refund was processed in error or you want to resolve a dispute, after which it may be permanently removed.

What's not covered

  • Requests made after the [14 / 30]-day window, except where required by law.
  • Abuse of the refund policy (e.g., repeated purchase-and-refund cycles).
  • Any third-party costs you may have incurred separately (e.g., a domain name you purchased from a domain registrar to use as your custom domain) — those are outside Folix's control and covered by that provider's own terms.

Custom domains

If you purchased and connected a custom domain, refunding your Folix purchase does not refund or affect your domain registration, which you purchased separately from your domain registrar.

Chargebacks and disputes

If you dispute a charge directly with your bank or card issuer instead of contacting us first, we'll still honor the same terms as a direct refund request where the dispute is upheld, but please contact us first — it's faster for you and avoids any dispute-related fees.
