Terms of Service — DRAFT, requires legal review before publishing
⚠️ This is a starting template, not vetted legal advice. It's written to cover the standard points a SaaS accepting one-time payments needs, grounded in what Folix actually does today (confirmed against the codebase, not guessed). Before this goes live, have it reviewed by a lawyer qualified in your actual jurisdiction — especially for: (1) Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law and e-commerce regulations if you're incorporated/operating there, (2) EU consumer rights (a statutory 14-day withdrawal right for online purchases often can't be waived by policy alone, which interacts with the refund terms below), and (3) whichever jurisdiction's law you actually want to govern disputes. Every `[bracketed]` placeholder needs a real value before publishing.

1. Who we are
Folix ("Folix," "we," "us") is a self-serve portfolio website builder operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], a [company type] registered in [jurisdiction] ([registration number, if applicable]). These Terms govern your use of folix.pro and any subdomain or account created through it (the "Service").
By creating a Folix site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
2. The Service
Folix lets you build and publish a personal portfolio website — profile, projects, skills, experience, testimonials, and a contact form — through a self-serve dashboard, without writing code. Your site is published at a Folix subdomain (`yourname.folix.pro`) by default; connecting your own custom domain is supported subject to domain-ownership verification.
3. Accounts
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly ([SUPPORT EMAIL]) if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Payment
Folix is sold as a one-time payment, not a subscription — you pay once at signup and your site remains active going forward, subject to these Terms. Pricing is shown at checkout and is not fixed in these Terms since it may change for new customers; the price you actually pay is the price confirmed at your checkout. Payment is processed by our third-party payment providers (Stripe and/or PayPal) — we do not store your card details ourselves.
See our separate [Refund & Cancellation Policy] for what happens if you want a refund, and what happens to your site if a payment is refunded or disputed.
5. Your content
You own what you put on your site. Your profile information, project descriptions, images, and any other content you upload ("Your Content") remains yours. By publishing it through Folix, you grant us the limited right to host, store, and display it as necessary to operate the Service.
You're responsible for Your Content. You confirm you have the rights to everything you publish, and you agree not to use Folix to publish content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights (copyright, trademark, privacy), is defamatory, or is otherwise abusive. We reserve the right to remove content or suspend a site that violates this, and to remove content submitted by third parties through your contact form or testimonial-submission flow if it's spam or abusive (this happens automatically for detected spam via anti-spam measures already built into the product).
6. Custom domains
If you connect a custom domain, you're representing that you control the DNS for that domain. We verify domain ownership before activating a custom domain on your site; we may deactivate a custom domain that fails verification or is later found not to be under your control.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use Folix to: violate any law; impersonate another person or entity; distribute malware or attempt to compromise the Service's security; scrape, resell, or white-label the Service without our written agreement; or use the platform's contact-form or testimonial features to send unsolicited bulk messages.
8. Availability and changes to the Service
We aim to keep Folix reliably available but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the Service over time; we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you of changes that materially affect your existing site.
9. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate a site that violates these Terms, that we're required to disable by law, or — per our Refund Policy — that was purchased with a payment that was later refunded or successfully disputed.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and our liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including, where applicable, statutory consumer-protection rights).
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict-of-law principles. [Add dispute-resolution mechanism — courts of X, or arbitration clause, per your lawyer's advice.]
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date; continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Contact
Questions about these Terms: [SUPPORT EMAIL] (not a personal inbox — see the note in the Privacy Policy about this).
